Read my previous post, it's more to do with the short stroke but not helped with a water jacket |

More noise and more performance. By the way the supercharger doesn't make any noise so you just get a stronger bark out of the exhaust

(Re: steve59) | | | ...C'mon man...the difference in sound is ...0-270-540-0.....versus...0-315-405-0.(on harley)......Yes, water jackets and all that other stuff matter....but....FIRING ORDER IS THE DIFFERENCE......And, after putting 40000 miles on my '10 1600 (short tors, filter,and tors tune), even though my bird is not as quick as others....it's still quick....and what I love about basically stock configuration is SMOOTH RIDEABILITY : the transition from neutral throttle to acceleration is SMOOTH....NO JERKY TWERKY......runs right up to the ton, and then backs down beautifully to 85-90 cruise......merry Christmas from Nashville......

(Re: gdp) | | | Geez!...A man needs two identical bikes to play with from getgo....leave one as it comes from the factory and play with the other one. At least one could have a realistic comparison of power changes after all the changes were made!.
I have a 2013 storm which I have added short tors, a k&n air filter and cat bypass. The difference is significant both in grunt and sound....Hey, Harley riders in a group at a gas station this morning all shaded their eyes from the morning sun and stared at my storm decelerating as I approached the lights and then as I gunned it away again(just for them!!)...I love my baby!!
